system hangs at loading initrd

When I install the 3.17-rc2 kernel on my Factory box, try to boot it, it hangs loading the initrd. The 3.16.1 kernel boots fine.

installed kernel-3.17-rc2 this afternoon, no problems found with booting

install finished with

only anomally noticed so far, internal network ok, firefox to internet impossible, only spent 5 minutes with it though

Then you must ask in the beta forum, not here. You will find many more
people familiar with factory problems.
