Hello i got a desktop and laptop both suse gnome. I use them interchangeably, problem is I often find myself repeating the same configs, installing the same apps. For example if I have a gnome extension in desktop then have to install it in laptop too
Also the files, i wud like to continue my work after shutdown PC and use laptop, I want the same filesystem to show up. if im editing some text file i want all those changes in other system
Is there a way? I don’t need extreme sync tho i.e. browser tabs, vscode settings, that is already synced. Just files and settings of apps and system, any other font I installed etc
Note that I only care about sync, whether I have to do it through internet or some other way or manually start it or it happens in real time or it takes 10 mins or 2 or 200 I don’t care
I do not know what you mean by “system”, but be aware that there is a huge difference between keeping a user environment synced between two users on two systems and managing both systems.
Desktop and laptop most likely will use quite different hardware.
Synchronizing system files will be a challenge. Hardware related system files probably will need some sort of “translation” to render the same result on different hardware (e.g. screen resolution with different graphics card and monitor).
