Suspend

Hi there. I’m having problems with suspension. Suspend to ram freezes like a S1 state, Suspend to ram saves data and also suspends as S1 state (when it should shutdown), force me to manual shutdown (switch) but it resumes correctly. What can it be?
My System: Asus A8n-sli deluxe (last bios,chip7 NF4 SLI) with AMD X2 3800+, 2*1gb DDR400 Gskill, eVGA 7900gs, Seagate 7200.11 320gb sata, Enermax 465w; in OpenSuSE 11.1 x64 up-to-date, and KDE 4.2.1 (was kde4.1.1 previous, but same issue).
Thanks

Can now suspend2disk correctly, using acpi_sleep=old_ordering, but in suspend2ram, it suspends and wakes, giving me no image at all (but it is not crashed). any idea?

following Bug 9528 – s2ram hang - 2.6.22 regression - Asus A8N-SLI, Abit KN9 (Nvidia NForce4) could finally get it work :wink:
Resuming:

  1. Show add “acpi_sleep=old_ordering” to kernel, on grub for example;
  2. Disable DPMS setting for screen (sax2).
  3. Now use a normal s2ram ou s2disk :slight_smile:
