I have been looking all over the internet for it can not find it . The link posted at http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Live_USB_stick#Create_a_Live_USB_the_easy_way_.28GUI.29 does not work.
thankyou so much, it had been really annoy the heck out of me:)
No problem
is there anyway to conert an iso to raw? i just finished downloading the iso and the imagewriter only opens .raw.
From: SDB:Live USB stick - openSUSE
5c. On Microsoft Windows, SUSE Studio Image Writer allows you to see .raw file only. To select an ISO, you have to press “Select”, then enter ".*" in the “filename” text box in order to see all files. You can then choose the .iso file. Then click “Copy”.
all it does is currupt my usb drives that i have tried>:(
Do you mean that the USB drives don’t work anymore? I tried it on my 8GB USB Drive and it was fine.
I tried it with multiple usb drives and each one ends up currupt. In windows, it asks me if I want to format the drive. On my eee pc, it doesnt even boot( just sits there with a blinking bar)(I set it up in the bios to boot from the usb drive).
Have you put the CD or DVD version of openSUSE on your usb drive?
Also when you start your EEE PC and when it shows the POST screen press escape does the flash drive show up in the boot menu? It should be able to boot the USB drive. I have an eee pc 1000h and it successfully boots openSUSE KDE CD version via USB.
I downloaded the network installer(the one that requires an internet connection). The usb drive shows up in the bios and is selected as the boot device.
The network installer and the DVD images require some extra steps to make them USB bootable. The instructions are here (Under Windows instructions):

lol I thought it was a all in one setup that all you had to do was download and run the iso through the program and it would make a bootable usb drive. I found out I could use my xbox 360 hd dvd drive on me eepc to install it( alot easier) Thankyou for your help(im just learning how to use linux).
Yes unfortunatly the only version of openSUSE that is that straightforward is the Live version. Good luck installing openSUSE. Feel free to ask any questions on this forum. Since you are learning how to use Linux/openSUSE you might find all of this quite handy:

Now I see this article. Yesterday I wrote opensuse in USB without problems. And now is booting well.
Don’t know if this is worth mentioning but… nobody posted the correct links on this thread. Oh well… here you go!
