ssh offers no suitable HMAC ciphers

OpenSSH_7.2p2

I connected from a remote system using SSH to a local host. This is the result.

$ ssh user@host
no matching mac found: client hmac-md5,hmac-sha1,hmac-ripemd160,hmac-ripemd160@openssh.com,hmac-sha1-96,hmac-md5-96 server hmac-sha2-256,hmac-sha2-256-etm@openssh.com,hmac-sha2-512,hmac-sha2-512-etm@openssh.com,umac-128-etm@openssh.com,umac-128@openssh.com

Which settings control this negotiation?
