Sound/ALSA broken after update from July 19

Hi,

after the update from July 19 my Lenovo ThinkPadP14sGen5 suffers sound issues:

• The internal microphone is no longer found. Externals like from an usb-attached webcam are seen and usable.
• External speakers are not found, only the internal (squeaky) ones. So, e.g., outputting sound via HDMI from the monitor or an usb-attached external speaker does not work.

Tried to find my way using alsamixer, but to the unaided eye that appears ok. The sound card is seen and one can access settings. So for example Capture is on at high levels. Output levels are on at high levels, too.

Any directions or pointers are appreciated.

Internal Microphone suddenly requires "pro audio"

Hi, Today my microphone settings suddenly changed and couldn’t be found at all. It was ultimately able to find my external but was still acting strange. After messing around with it, including reinstalling the OS, I have found the only way it works is if it is set on “pro mode” in PAVU control [added the Pipeline-Pulse" file] Before it worked normally out of the box. After my return from vacation, the tumbleweed update brought in an update of “alsa-ucm-conf” and speakers and microphone are again working as before and all is fine.
