Hi,
I am using Suse 11.3 with Gnome. Is there a way or any package that helps me auto-mount a blank CD-R under /media and everything I drop there will be written immediately to the CD?
It’s for my mother and I don’t want her to use any other software than nautilus. Is that possible? And if so, how can I do this?
Regards,
Stephan
Right-click a file in Nautilus and choose “Send to.” The dialog includes the option to burn to a CD.

Only Nautilus? You can set up a kisosk account. There are tools for this in KDE, not sure about Gnome. I’ve never done this, but it has been discussed in these forums before.
Empty CDs can not be mounted since they do not have a filesystem.
Hm. Too bad. So my idea won’t work?
Maybe there is a package that can emulate a filesystem to mount the empty CD and burn all data drop there automatically to CD?
CD-RW will do, if CD-R will make a problem.
