The menu icon in XFCE for Chromium is missing after upgrading to snapshot 20260213 in Tumbleweed. The desktop icon exists in /user/share/applications.. There is a similar, but not the same, “broken icon” bug report from a previous update, reported on Saturday. I wondered if anyone had any ideas before I file a bug report.

This is exactly the same issue as already reported in the mentioned bug report. No further report needed. Open the desktop file and you will see, that the content matches the one described in the bugreport. Due to the broken content, it is no longer a valid desktop file, and that is the reason why it dissapears from the menu.
It’s not exactly the same as my issue, as noted, but point taken. 
It is the same issue. Due to the broken content of the desktop file, the menu entry dissappears. Have a look yourself into the desktop file. Use a text editor.
The bugreport describes the reason (broken content of desktop file) why you see the effect (missing menu entry).
If you have another issue, you need to describe it…
I take your point, another bug report is unnecessary, but the reported bug is not “exactly” the same as mine. To describe it further would be fruitless when the issue is “generally” the same. OK?
