SLES 11 SP3 in EFI mode mounts drives in RO mode on VM

I have installed SLES 11 SP3 on VIrtual Machine [ESX] in EFI mode.

On every boot, SLES 11 SP3 server,we get a “Press any key to proceed with booting” message.

I see that /etc/init.d/boot.compliance is the reason. This script calls /usr/bin/isCompliant and the message is displayed.

Some of our servers are VMs and some are physical servers.

The filesystems are mounted in ReadOnly and because of which many services are failing to start. This is not observed SLES 11 SP3 on VIrtual Machine [ESX] in BIOS mode.

Only in EFI based VM’s ,am observing this issue.

Why this behaviour is happening and how to avoid this ?

You’ll probably want to ask at forums.suse.com instead - SLES and openSUSE
are related, but not the same thing, so the solutions may well be
different.
