Sleep Amnesia

So, I finally got all my settings to work properly using xmodmap for some key config and synaptik for disabling my touchpad for a second while typing. The problem is that every time I come out of sleep, it has forgotten all these things and I need to restart synaptik and rerun xmodmap ~/.xmodmaprc

How can I get it to remember my settings?

openSUSE 12.2 x 64, KDE. Thanks.

hack the go-to-sleep script so it shuts down synaptik and the
wake-up-script to start synapitik and run that xmodmap thing

sorry i can’t give the specifics on how to do the shutdown part (may not
need it anyway)…

the easy way for the wake up part would be to put an executable bash
script in ~/.kde4/Autostart
