Security issue?

Hello,
Please help me. I was reading about security issue and I ran the command netstat. I was surprised to see hundreds of lines in there, and I will give you few of them. I saved the entire list in a file for future reference.

I would appreciate any help in identifying the issue and correct it if that’s the case. So far I don’t like the number of sockets used.
thanks dan

Which ones bother you? The ones to novell.com on HTTP are either the updater or you browsing their website.

Hi,

Nothing dodgy in that list, maybe if you didn’t recognise an address then it would be something to question.

All web traffic in your list to well known sites.

Thank you for your replies. What bothers me is that there are hundreds of sockets listed. If you think that is normal than I’m fine. I was checking at work on some linux machine with the same command and there are far less records.
