Secure-opensuse boot dissapeard, can no longer boot into osAEON

I have 3 m.2 in my system,

  1. Opensuse Aeon
  2. Storage for Aeon
  3. Windows 11

I recently had a Windows update, which removed my secure-opensuse boot entry and I can no longer login to Aeon.

I tried to Chroot into it to run sudo update-bootloader --install but it cant fix it due to Aeon being a read only filesystem.

Anyone know how I can fix this without reinstalling?

All bootloader related files should be in read-write filesystems. Show the full protocol of how you performed chroot and run update-bootloader with the complete output.

Hi thank you, I tried both of the steps in this guide: Reddit - Dive into anything
I followed the how2 on chroot, from here. Common problems and their solutions | Start-Up | openSUSE Leap 15.5

My drive is /dev/sda. I don’t get any error messages when executing the commands until I run update-bootloader —install.

I forgot to say I use Full disk encryption, if that makes a difference

Run

transactional-update bootloader

Again no error until I run

transactional-update

I got it working again. I decided to try option 1 again “on the Reddit post” and this time it worked. I’m now back in to Aeon.

Would it be a good idea to try and run transactional-update bootloader now?
