Searching for an article in the forum

I’m logged in with my password.

I enter the search data.

https://forums.opensuse.org/search.php?do=process

Yet it fails, it wants me to enter a captcha which I’m not able to decipher.

Why the insistence on captcha, when I’m already identified? :-/

This is absurd, a google search found the article I wanted in a split
second.

How, entering into what?

I can say without a doubt I have no idea what you are searching for. I get no captcha when logged into the forum while searching and we have no control when not searching within the openSUSE forums.

The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search:

Thank You,

My mistake. :frowning:

I did login to the forum, but somehow it did not work, I did not notice,
and thus the search acted as if I was not logged in.

Now I just clicked into login and went in, no password asked (I’m
currently logged in bugzilla), and got the search page with no captcha.

Now it’s clear.

I tried again. I click on “login”, the page reloads, but I’m not asked
for my login/pass at all. That’s what happened, I assumed I was in
because my credentials were active on bugzilla or something, and the
page refreshed.

I can not login!

I’m in fact logged in at Bugzilla, but it is not recognized by the
forum, and I’m not asked for my credentials there.

When that exact symptom happened to me not long ago, having been logged into the forum only, clearing cookies worked. Then the login/password page responded correctly.

Yes, I know, but I hate it, having to chase all opensuse, atachmate,
suse, novell, netiq… perhaps even some google ones.

As a matter of fact, I just looked and I could not find the menu entry
to see all cookies. Maybe somewhere in preferences.

I’m off to bed!

Did one test. I opened the forum page, tools, page info, security, view
cookies, delete all. Then click login, and got inside without entering
any password.

So there was some unlisted cookie or something that detected that I was
still logged into bugzilla.

I deleted all cookies, either from Tools, Clear Private Data and tick/untick boxes, or from Preferences, Privacy & Security etc. IIRC a re-login was required in my case, possibly as I probably closed the browser.

Only ever done it twice so far, at least since the attacnmate reorg.
