Hi all,
I am using Slowroll on my laptop. Great distribution!
Since kernel 6.15 (I think I had 6.15.1 and most recent is 6.15.2), my screen does not work. After grub, it stays black. However, the hdmi port does work so the system is not crashing - with an external screen, I can boot fine. I think it is a bug in 6.15, but of course I am not sure. 6.14.6 did work fine.
Update: I just discovered that the screen is not working at the moment I need to enter my passphrase to unlock my disk. After correctly entering my passphrase (blindly), the login screen does appear on my laptop screen.
Currently using 6.15.4. Still no screen at the moment I have to type my encryption key during startup. If I remove the splash=quiet option from my boot parameters, I do see the text message that I can enter my password for a few seconds (1? 2?), and then my screen turns off again.
Thanks!
I don’t think that is the case, as an external screen (HDMI) works fine. So I suspect it is not a plymouth problem, because in that case also the external screen would not work at the moment I have to enter the disk password
