saving sound settings blocks shutdown

Hi, I don’t know if this is the right forum. Please advise if not.

My OS 13.2 KDE system (fully patched) now takes about 10 minutes to shutdown. It keeps complaining there’s a job Save/Restore Sound Settings still running.

Any advice on how to trace this & kill it? Where to start / what information to collect?

It may be related to the new Dell USB3 hub I have, which has an inbuilt sound driver (which I’ve not configured & am not using).

Thanks
David

Does it happen if the hub is unplugged?

I’ve replaced the USB3 hub with the old USB2 hub, and unloaded the usb sound module

# /usr/sbin/modprobe -rv snd-usb-audio

and both hibernate and shutdown work smoothly.

It’s a Dell Docking Station - USB 3.0
