Running android apks in linux

is there something to run android apps like wine?
For what I’m searching, maybe waydroid.
I want something lightweight not using system resources if not necessary.

Waydroid works well for this use case, but it is not supported by OpenSuse.

Distrobox is your friend!

Waydroid is the best tool I’ve found so far.

Currently the situation for Waydroid on openSUSE is a bit messy, the best resource you have is currently this write-up by Runa and Jim: My own guide for WayDroid install on openSUSE Tumbleweed (back working) and openSUSE Slowroll · waydroid/waydroid · Discussion #1463 · GitHub

I know Jim has a leap 15 repo on OBS home:jimed-rand:waydroid:leap-15x but it seems to fail to build the waydroid package atm. He is a great guy so I would direct questions to him on if he is willing and able to support leap 15 going forward.

For Tumbleweed/Slowroll I’m currently working (with Jim’s assistance) on figuring out how to remove the need of external anbox sources and just use the upstream kernel modules, that work can be found here home:shorberg:branches:Kernel:stable but should be considered experimental.
