Run GUI as root in LXDE

Hello,

I am trying to make a desktop icon for a program that I want to run as root (ImageJ if you’re curious).
If I open a terminal, login as root and then run it using the command line it works just fine. However, I want to make an icon for it on the desktop.
gksu and gksudo do not work (not installed on the system at all?). How do I make it?

Try “gnomesu”, that should be installed if GNOME is installed (I’m not sure about LXDE though). Or “xdg-su -c ​command”, that’s desktop independent.
