Any idea?

From what I’ve been able to gather, the firmware is not playing nice with S2RAM.
Does unloding the module rtw89_8852be prior to sleep.target work?

Read the readme

I think if you want to use the script you have to copy it and use the right module name for unloading inside the script.

Unloaded the modules as follows:

6700k:~ # /sbin/modprobe -vr rtw89_8852be
rmmod rtw89_8852be
rmmod rtw89_pci
rmmod rtw89_8852b
6700k:~ # /sbin/modprobe -vr rtw89_core
rmmod rtw89_core
rmmod mac80211
6700k:~ #

The above succeeded when I executed the commands twice. Host 6700k would suspend and resume properly. Unfortunately it stopped working after several suspend/resume cycles and never worked again.:frowning:

The driver readily built and installed when executing commands given at: GitHub - lwfinger/rtw89: Driver for Realtek 8852AE, an 802.11ax device. However after rebooting host 6700k wouldn’t even connect.:frowning:

You have build it from that Repo???

Yep. I cloned GitHub - lwfinger/rtw89: Driver for Realtek 8852AE, an 802.11ax device and built in the local clone.

I build them as an rpm…

But have you blacklisted the old ones?

Great!

I think so:

6700k:~ # cat /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
blacklist rtw89_8852be
blacklist rtw89core
6700k:~ #

Installed:

tw-netinstall:~ # zypper search -is rtw89

Rebooted and checked connection. Device wlp3s0 is now dead and won’t connect.

And?
Infos?

Which information will help you?

Have you deleted your blacklist file?

I build the modules with the same name as the ones in the Kernel, so no blacklist file should be needed.
