Reset GTK settings to default

Hello
Recently I came back to openSuse and some issues I solved myself (with great help from deepseek xD) but this one I can’t figure out.
This is cinnamon desktop and the look of title bar differ depending of the app, I know gtk3, gtk4, electron etc but after I’d lost all hope I added test user and to my surprise it look OK on that new account which leads me to this conclusion that I’ve messed something up and I can’t fix it now.

So the question is, which files I need to remove to reset those GTK settings/look to its default values?

And apparently I can’t attach screenshots so you won’t be able to see how it looks like.

ps Sorry for my poor english

Welcome to the openSUSE Forums!
I don’t use Cinnamon, but being a Gnome derivative maybe it still uses the dconf tool for configuration.
Try launching a “dconf” app if you have one, or try dconf --help from the command line.
The corresponding user file should be /home/<user name>/.config/dconf/user

Already try that and didn’t help, in my case it looks like something fixated on some setting and won’t let go.
I’ve also noticed that no matter theme I set when I run:

gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences theme

I get “Menta” whetever that is. xD

See if the following article might offer some insight here…

You could compare the ~/.themes directory between the two users for more clues.

This might be helpful too

I don’t think this can help since ~/.themes holds all locally “installed” themes which one is in use is written somewhere else but here are both:
mine

Is there a ~/.cinnamon directory (containing user-specific config)?

While I was looking if there is in fact .cinnamon folder since I don’t have one I’ve found this page https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=187819 so here we go.

So Cinnamon is indeed using dconf, and renaming/deleting /home/<user name>/.config/dconf/user didn’t help?

Yep.
I deleted this file and that didn’t change anything.
I have no idea why, when I get home I’ll try to load dconf as that mint forum says but I have no big expectations.

‘Menta’ appears to be a Mate theme: do you have / had Mate installed alongside Cinnamon?
Maybe the two interfere? Being both Gnome (v2?) derivatives maybe they mix and match settings?
Check what you have currently:

I’m not aware of installing anything from Mate desktop but right now I have no access to that notebook since I’m on short vacations, will check when I’m back.
