Well, to make it simple, I installed openSUSE like a week ago and since then ive been experiencing several internet disconnection for no reason, thing that doesnt happen if I log into Windows XP.
I have got a Dial-up DSL connection. Dont know what more information to give you guys.
Wired or wireless? What card model? What modem? Do you have access to your modem’s logs? Do your disconnects happen at regular intervals (such as, for example: every 120 minutes, or: 30 minutes after you stop accessing the Internet and/or close your browser/mail client).
its actually very strange, for example, if im downloading something or chatting through msn or something like that, those things dont get interrupted. But if i try to open a web page it doesent work, or if i go to Yast, i cant connect to look for updates.
Its a wired Dial-Up DSL
I got an onboard net, my motherboard is an MSI K9A2 CF
Hi
Sounds like ipv6 delays. I would disable ipv6 system wide in
YaST-> Network Devices-> Network Settings on the global tab
unckeck the ‘Enable IPV6’ box.
It may also be your ISP’s DNS, but try above first.
Also if your not using Beagle, remove it from your system via software
management.
