Doesn’t look like a packaging issue to me, rather an upstream issue. Does the issue exist for a newly created user?

I’m not having any obvious problem here. But then my tray is not nearly as full, and I’m using KDE Plasma 5.
I am using MATE, not KDE.
The tray no. of icons, is not relevant.
It occurs even with a couple of icons.
