I am using OpenSuse 13.1 and KDE
I wish access other PCs via the Internet and need an option that works at very slow connections.
What is the best program for remote access?

ssh with compression enabled.
Unless you want/need a desktop, then ssh with compression enabled and
tunnel VNC over it, reduce desktop size and colour depth.
