Recommended USB (no WiFi) headset for Linux?

I am looking for a good USB (no WiFi) headset:

  • max. 40 $/EUR ,
  • fully usable with Linux (important);
  • business, not gaming, if that makes for a difference.
  • Maximum comfort or light-weight are not especially important, because it won’t be used for more than a few hours a week, but
  • the microphone output should be low-noise enough for serious applications.

Any recommendations? Thanks.

I have some Sennheiser pc8 (usb 2) - cheap and cheerful, not at all comfortable, but they plug in and just work. I bought them originally for Zoom meetings, for which they are fine although I no longer use them for that (Blue Yeti + Audio Technica phones now). I still use them with my mobile for phone calls.

Thanks for the recommendation (PC 8 USB). Do you think the PC 8.2 USB will “just work” with Linux, too?

I’ve no reason to suppose they won’t, Linux and USB pretty much just works in my experience.

Ok, thanks.
