Recent "genksyms" in kernel build using all memory

Previously (April 14) I asked a question about genksyms. Our observation was that in recent kernels in 15.6 and tumbleweed genksyms had run-away memory usage when compiling a kernel driver. And if we copied an older genksyms from the older working kernel build system into recent kernel build system, it would no long run out of memory. Has anyone else seen this? The situation has not changed since mid-April.

I am by no means fluent with the subject, but what I understand is that some version of something has a problem and that you reverted to an older version the “works”. Then you say that nothing has changed since April. But you never explain that you filed a bug report. When you indeed didn’t, how do you think it will be solved by magic?

This is the old thread…but also there a link to a bugreport is missing.
