Razer deathstalker not working in 13.1

Hi all!

I have a razer deathstalker keyboard (regular one, not the ultimate). After restart or cold start the keyboard simply doesn’t work. Pressing any of the keys has no effect. Neither does num lock or caps lock lid when pressed. I managed to make it working when plug-out / in the usb cable. Do you have any clue? Thanks!

I’ve seen mice behave like that.

Is everything USB-related in BIOS setup enabled?

Have you tried plugging into all the available USB ports (same problem
regardless which port)?

Same problem if you boot an installation, Knoppix or Systemrescue CD or DVD?

That seems to be a gaming keyboard and gaming keyboard tend to be Windows centric. Some apperntly load drivers to Windows which may interfere with the handshake at boot maybe

Thanks for the hint! Indeed the problem seems to be related to the USB ports. My motherboard is Asus Z87-Pro and it has 2 separate USB controllers - 1 from Intel and on from Asus. Initially my keyboard was plugged-in in the ASMedia® USB 3.0 controller. When I moved it to the Intel one it worked as expected. I am sure everything in BIOS is setup correctly, because the same keyboard, plugged-in the same USB port work correctly under Windows.

So, problem solved! Thank you guys!
