Quite RSS seems to have disappeared from my computer!

I am a fan of the QuiteRSS news reader, which I installed from openSUSE repositories.

For reasons unknown, today’s DUP to the 20210728 seems to have removed it from my computer. I know that sounds freakish, but this DUP was the only change made to my system since successfully firing up QuiteRSS a few hours ago.

The KDE panel icon yields a ‘could not find the program’ error, and I can’t find the program in the KDE menu. ALT-F2 quiterss shows nothing. And finally, Yast → Software Management with the below-enabled repositories no longer shows any listing for QuiteRSS.

I’m stumped!

Looks like the source package has gone AWOL… Sorry no idea why, you would need to contact the maintainer of the package.

Thank you, Paul. I restored a recent back-up, and see that zypper dup wanted to delete quiterss. I locked the package, and suppose I must now look for a replacement … although QuiteRSS was a favorite.

Thanks, Malcolm. I sent an email … but also can use the .opml export file to change to alternative.
