Question about Plasma Login Manager

I realize there have been other posts about this, so before I am directed to read these posts please don’t do so.

I upgraded my fedora laptop to Fedora 44 today and Plasma Login Manager was installed with it. I was wondering what is going on with it for Tumbleweed? I realize that there is a Q&A thing also that there are different teams of devs that work on certain DEs or other applications but my main question was how did Fedora actually achieve this and it is still not present in Tumbleweed which is basically a rolling release?
Don’t get me wrong I love openSUSE I’m just curious and hoping I don’t get the half answered technical jargon answer that has been given in the other posts about this topic.
Thank you

I can only refer you to the Core KDE team and communication channels:
https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE%3AKDE_team

So I take it that these team members aren’t part of this forum and are only reachable through some archaic communication portal.
I guess I’ll try my luck trying to get an answer and much like the other posts about this here will die out.
I guess my weekend project is to switch my daily driver to Fedora.

No this is a volunteer user forum. The developers/maintainers tend to use the communication channels mentioned in the link.

I’m also looking forward to trying the Plasma Login Manager.

Thank you for the info. I do appreciate it.

@rstreeter well the Fedora package owner is an openSUSE contributor as well so @Pharaoh_Atem may provide details…

@malcolmlewis Thank you
