Put Tumbleweed snapshots in their own menu

Hello,

Is there any way to have the BTRFS snapshots show in grub in their own menu? Mine just fill up the main grub menu “like extra kernels” I would like an option like boot to read only snapshot option that goes to another menu that shows nothing but the snapshots. If I remember correctly this is how Leap does it.

What bootloader are you using?

I suppose it will be grub2-bls.
And I understand the question, the new layout is quite ugly. (but it might be a matter of taste)

Yes, grub2bls does not support submenus. Neither does systemd-boot to my best knowledge. It is not something inherently impossible, as usual it is the question of someone implementing it and convincing developers that it is a need-to-have feature.

Maybe I misunderstand the suggestion (?). I ask because I used to use TW, but that was over a year ago, but switched to Leap 15.6 and 16 now.
I thought TW offered the suggestion as default, such as the two screenshots shown below (it is possible I misunderstand):

The top level GRUB menu - see third option highlighted
.

.
The follow-up GRUB sub-menu showing only the snapshots:

@myswtest you are confused  The default for Tumbleweed is now grub-bls, your referring to grub-efi…

It gives a flat file list of the current boot and snapshots, likewise when you press ‘e’ to edit the kernel options it pops up a bottom row with the ability to add your options direct etc…
