Hi there!
I have been looking for how to install Proton VPN on Tumbleweed, and I figured out that there are two ways to do this:
-
through the terminal, using the command: sudo zypper in protonvpn-gui
-
and using the Flatpak.
Which one of these methods is more reliable, since neither of them is non-official and not supported by ProtonVPN?
Thanks a lot
For what it’s worth: I use the flatpak version without issues.

Neither is better, to be honest, as you said, not supported officially.
However, installing from openSUSE repositories allows you to report issues, and we can fix it.
Flatpak is also a suitable alternative because Tumbleweed updates often break Proton VPN dependencies.

In spite of I preferring official package is the reason I switched to flatpak, broken deps (tumbleweed)

Hi folks!
Thanks a lot for your helps!
I have installed from openSUSE repositories, as avicenzi suggested.
I have read that the Flatpak version has an issue of updating gap. I don’t know if it is true.
Even so, thanks for everyone who wrote here.
Thanks for your link, Malcolm.
Thanks buddy!
That was exactly I have done.
