Problems with tvheadend on openSUSE Tumbleweed

I was refereed here by users in the tvheadend forums as they suggested due to me having a problem with tvheadend discovering my hdhomerun tuners.

Here is what I found within the toggle details page on tvheadend via the about section below.I found ffmpeg and hdhomerun disabled.

Can the hdhomerun and ffmpeg flags/options be enabled in the official build package as well as having the latest tvheadend version?

  1. Pls identify where you installed your tvheadend from… Did you install from openSUSE repositories? Did you install packages from some other repository? Did you install from source?
  2. Did you add the Packman repository as described in the Multimedia Forum? On openSUSE, whenever you run anything that involves multimedia, it should practically be an automatic reflex to install the Packman repo.

Unlikely due to the ffmpeg nature (static build), I disabled those options in 2016…

You could ask the current maintainers to look at it by filing a bug report: openSUSE:Submitting bug reports - openSUSE
