Have a look at the subforum called Wireless there may be answers to
your issue. If not read the section at the beginning called “stickies”
In here there are some commands to run. You need to start a new post in
the wireless section and paste the information.

You need to blacklist the ath5k driver in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist. Then go to the madwifi site and download the test version of madwifi version 10.x and build. The current ath5k does not support that card.
