Sometime during 13.2 there was an update, that killed the Mobilty Radeon HD 4225/4250 (RS880)
Immediately after Grub the System freezes and anly hard reset helps. (ubuntu 15,10 still is working, so there is a problem with OpenSUSE. Where can I find logs to post.
Installation:
If you use net-install-image from USB and choose upgrade you can use a USB 3.0 XHCI host PCI Express Card and simpy enter the directory /////421/// to find the correct source.
If you choose install you cannot use a USB 3.0 XHCI host PCI Express Card, the card is not activated.
I would call that a bug, where to report.
If you use upgrade from that DVD image networking is broken. Switching from Networkmanager to Wicked does not solve anything. I can ping my router, but cannot access it from browser. DNS is always the router’s IP
I tried to activate the nvidia repository during install on a second notebook, but configuring the LAN connection does not solve the request to configure a network device.
Networking is a big Problem, with WLAN. But this is so since 12.3. Always switch in Yast to Networkmanager but this time it does not help.
Ok on a note book assuming hybrid Intel+NVIDIA GPU then you must use bumblebee NOT the normal NVIDIA driver. With AMD hybrid it is ok and recommended that you use the normal AMD driver.
So you have two completely different things here. Please use different threads
on OS13.2 and Kubuntu 15.04 I could use the network manager to access internet via wifi and connect multiple notebooks via LAN cable to use synergy. if I am now connecting the LAN cable to the router for synergy, internet via WIFI at the same time does not work anymore. But with synergy 1.7.4 / 1.7.6 the WIFI lag does not exist anymore, I just tested and don’t need the cable connection anymore. But still this is a regression within networkmanager I am guessing, because OpenSUSE and Kubuntu 15.10 have the same issue. Where should I file the bugreport? OS oder KDE?
Leap has the WIN7 launcher set as standard. I don’t like it. So checked the normal launcher and the fullscreen launcher. The fullscreen launcher does not open on the monitor where the lauchner button is. is this a KDE or OS bug?
The next odd thing on the old HP 8530W the installation process kills the WIFI. RFKILL says hardlocked and I need to disconnect the BIOS battery and to get the WIFI activated again. Twice. Within installing on SSD and HDD.
