Problems in using Terratec Grabster AV 350 MX

Hi, I bought this hardware TerraTec - Products - Video - Software Encoding - TerraTec Grabster AV 350 MX to grab my analogue videos and to store it on a harddrive. The device uses the driver em2860 which is build into the kernel. When I plug in the device the hardware will be recognised:

But how can I use it?
When I use VLC and use the function: Open record device and put in in Video driver: /dev/video1 I get the analogue record but the picture is bent out and I do not get the audio.
Does anybody have this device in use and does it work? Is there a command in mplayer or mencoder to capture the analogue sources?

I am using opensuse 11.2 AMD 64bit on a HP Pavillon dv7 Laptop.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello

Did you get this video grabber working? I am having similar problems on fedora 15. The kernel module is working correctly, I just need the settings for vlc or mplayer or whatever but nothing is documented…
