Problem with codec updates Leap 16.0

Hi,

I am trying to update the following packages but fails as dependencies not available .

The following 7 package updates will NOT be installed:
  libavcodec61 libavfilter10 libavformat61 libavutil59 libpostproc58 libswresample5 libswscale8

Dependency resolution failed:

the installed libKPipeWireRecord6-6.4.2-bp160.1.2.x86_64 requires 'libavfilter.so.10(LIBAVFILTER_10.4_SUSE)(64bit)', but this requirement cannot be provided

Trying to run this below but I am not sure which to select:

Do
sudo zypper rr 1
sudo zypper ref
sudo zypper dup --allow-vendor-change

Repos 1 an 5 are the same but with both of them active you maybe hitting different mirrors, each in a different state of up-to-date. By default you should have the cdn one, so 5. This solves your issue.

Please check the installed “openSUSE-repos” package → Zypper search for “openSUSE-repos” …

  • For your case, it should be “openSUSE-repos-Leap” or, if you have NVIDIA graphics → “openSUSE-repos-Leap-NVIDIA”

@knurpht: Thanks for the heads-up → on this Tumbleweed system, upgraded from Leap 16.0, it was, for whatever reason during the upgrade – “openSUSE-repos-MicroOS” … :roll_eyes:

@Jniko: If the “openSUSE-repos” package is the wrong one, for whatever reason, install the correct one – the wrong one will be removed as part of the Zypper install procedure.

  • After you have removed the duplicate repository which is NOT a “service repository” → «http://cdn.opensuse.org» – you’ll need to do the following –
 # zypper clean --all
 # zypper refresh --force
  • The reason for the “clean” and “–force” is, the repository metadata – including the RPM GPG keys …

Still the the same thing. No matter what I have tried it does the same thing.

@HealingMindNOS There is no 32bit support in Leap 16, see the release notes(?). Install grub2-compat-ia32 this adds “ia32_emulation=1” to the kernel boot options, reboot and try updating again…
