Ich kann jetzt leider in der Sache nicht helfen, aber bei mir unter Tumbleweed läuft das Video in Firefox und Google chrome ohne Weiteres. Allerdings habe ich das Video aus dem Firefox mit dem Videodownloadhelper heruntergeladen.
Kein Problem. Ist nur erstaunlich, dass es auf beiden Notebooks ist. Der eine mit Leap 15.5.1 und der andere mit Debian Linux 12. Auch, dass du völlig andere Download-Files angeboten bekommst als ich. Merkwürdig.
Dennoch vielen Dank an alle für die Unterstützung.

Firefox spielt das Video ohne weitere Klimmzüge ab. Vielleicht hast du zu viel an deinem System herumgebastelt und dabei versehentlich etwas kaputt gemacht.
Mag sein, obwohl ich eher weniger der Bastler bin.
Bleibt aber immer noch der Fakt, dass auf dem anderen Notebook der gleichen Baureihe mit einem im Grunde jungfräulichen Debian Linux 12 der gleiche Effekt auftritt.
Vielleicht liegt es ja aber auch mit an der Hardware, denn ich frage mich, warum Sauerland ganz andere Download-Files angeboten bekommt als ich. Das muss doch einen Grund haben.
… Wobei das auch merkwürdig wäre, denn warum sollte yt-dlp die Auswahl einschränken, ohne zu wissen, wo das Video letztlich abgespielt wird? Alles nicht ganz koscher.
Ich habe (und benutze ab und zu) youtube-dl .
Jetz sehe ich oben yt-dlp erwähnt, das anscheinend auch so was ist.
YaST > Software > Software Management gestartet und das sagt über yt-dlp "
yt-dlp - Enhanced fork of youtube-dl, a video site downloader for offline watching".
Auch zeigt sich da das die Packman Version von youtube-dl nicht mehr anwesend ist.
Kann jemand bestätigen das yt-dlp also youtube-dl völlig erzetzt hat. Und das man also Scripts im diesen Sinne ändern sollte?
