Problem installing Suse11

Hi, I am new to SUSE so sorry if it’s a dumb question:P

I’ve downloaded Suse11, made a boot dvd and tried to install on an old PC of mine(AMD Duron 1.5 GHz, 512Mb RAM, 100Gb HDD etc…).
The problem is that when I get to the install wizard, on the second screen I get at “initialize package manager” the following output :

“Unable to create repository from URL cd:///?device= /dev/sro;
Details:
Valid metadata not found at specified URL(s)
History
-can’t copy /var/adm/mount/AP_0X00000001/suse/setup/descr/EXTRA_PROV to /var/cache/zypp/raw/openSUSE-DVD11.08vqyvz
-can’t provide /suse/setup/descr/EXTRA-PROV: can’t copy /var/adm/mount/AP_0X00000001/suse/setup/descr/EXTRA_PROV to /var/cache/zypp/raw/openSUSE-DVD11.08vqyvz”

Any help is highly appreciated
Thanks

What does that mean. You should have downloaded and .iso and used a suitable burning program like k3b to burn the .iso

If you did that - did you run the media check first?? It’s on the first green screen you come to.
