What software do you use on Linux to print envelopes, not labels, envelopes?
I’ve tried Office Suites of various kinds, um, Word too
and they all seem to have some issues. I fiddle with the options in the application to get it to print on the envelop, when the envelop is positioned in the printer just like the image on the printer shows it. Before I print envelopes now, I cut out a couple samples on plain paper to test.
Thank you.

I use Libre Office, and yes, I also test in pieces of plain paper. It is
specially difficult if the print has to rotate, or if “something” thinks
it has to rotate and does not, or thinks it doesn’t have to rotate when
it does.
On occasion, I had to lie to LO/OOo and tell it the size of the envelope
was A4 and just print on the top part, to avoid rotation.
I have also used LyX.

Yes, I also use Libre Office for printing envelopes.
Whilst the setup isn’t perhaps as intuitive as it could be, once correct for each envelope size you use, you can “Save As Template” from the “File” menu.
