Printer stopped working

HI,
I have OS11.2 64bit, Hp Officejet Pro L7780 All in one. that suddenly stopped working. I was printing a 12 page document, It printed the first page then stalled. I hit the cancel button and haven’t been able to print anything since. I switched it over to my M$ box and it work fine. The HPLIP status icon in the task bar shows to be working (i think) ink levels etc. When I open it under Status it says that “Printer queue stopped”. When I try to print something OS seems to go through the motions of printing but it never reaches the printer. Seems like I’ve lost my connection…
Any Ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks,
Ron

I think you will find that the queue is disabled. I’ve fixed this sort of thing by logging into the CUPS management page at localhost:631 with a web browser and deleting pending jobs and reenabling the queue.

ken,
I when to cups, tried to delete the pending jobs, it asks for my user name. I used my system name (same as my root name), and PW but it rejects them. Is there a secret name & PW I need to use>

The “secret” name is root. Use its password. You need root privilege to
manipulate the printers.

Thanks to Ken and Iwfinger.
It’s working again.
gotta love this Forum,
