opensuse 13.2
I recently received a gift of an Epson photo printer, a Picturemate Charm (model pm-225). Sadly there is no CUPS driver for that particular model. I tried the one for the pm-240: nothing printed. I then tried the driver for the pm-215: limited success; the color prints much darker than the original.
The workaround: modify the image (it starts as a NEF) however I wish, export as a PNG, use Windows to print it.
Epson has no drivers for linux; all links end in blank pages or 404.
Can anyone suggest a more suitable driver for that printer model?

Openprinting.org asserts that the epson-escpr driver should work well for a PM-225. See:

Indeed it does. Thank you.
It was not without a quirk: I had to boot to get the printer to print the whole image; it was only printing a small portion of it after the initial installation.

I have noticed this:The computer really should be booted after updates; otherwise erratic behavior may result. As recently as a year ago this was not necessary. No longer; after my weekly updates, re-boot!
