Hello,
I am running openSUSE 12.1 on my IBM Thinkpad t60, and when I close my lid, it does not suspend correctly.
This is from my pm-powersave.log file
/usr/lib/pm-utils/power.d/sched-powersave false: success.Running hook /usr/lib/pm-utils/power.d/wireless false:
Turning powersave for wlan0 off...Error for wireless request "Set Power Management" (8B2C) :
SET failed on device wlan0 ; Operation not supported.
Failed.
could this be the problem?

Try everything you can, by all means. You might hit the goal by chance. You
do not know, I do not know… in those pages (which I don’t remember the
url, or I would post them) there are trick, so try them.

Just as an update, switching power management to kernel defaults did fix the issue. Thanks
