plz reply urgently i canot see my files

i just finished installing opensuse 11 for the 1st time

and i dont find the NTF partition that contains mt files

how could i reach it

is there any software to install to make suse read NTF partition

i was on ubuntu every thing was ok

plz help me urgently

Don’t Panic!!!

Open a terminal
type su and then your root password

now type:

fdisk -l

post here

also paste contents of

/etc/fstab

after i did that
terminal said

invalid option --“1”

What i did:

  • Created a directory named windows under /media
  • Installed ntfs-config in yast
  • Launched it and mounted ntfs partition (read only) under /media/windows. You can also enable and disable writing support
