I am (almost) tearing my hair out trying to get silverlight to work on sky go. It stops on “loading plugin” and aborting will give a crash report.
So what have I tried.
Loaded pipelight from repository:- check
set pipelight to version 5.0:- check
tested with bouncing balls:- working
tested with silverlight DRM test:-working
have user agent overrider set to windows firefox 29:- check

It would be helpful if you told us some info about your system - like the
version of openSUSE and which repository you installed pipelight from.

For those who don’t know, a URL to “sky go” might be useful.
I’m guessing that’s a UK-only accessible site - I see the same thing in
Firefox and Chrome - I would expect current Chrome to not recognize
pipelight as installed, because it used the nsplugin architecture, and
Chrome doesn’t use that as an option any more.

I can tell you that I have used Netflix in the past - Firefox spoofing as
the version you indicate that you’re spoofing as.
However, I just tried it now and it’s again not working.
After running into that, I reinstalled from the repository at http:// download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/ecsos:/pipelight/openSUSE_13.1/
(make sure you’ve not got a shortened URL here, but the full URL - if
it’s a tinyurl, follow the link to get the full URL and add it as a
repository).
Once I activated Silverlight in Firefox (with the spoofing in place), the
Sky site actually is working for me.
Netflix, however, is throwing some sort of DRM error.
OK,
I just tried that link with no spoofing in Fx 32 & it WFM.
Also I have
Loaded pipelight from repository:- check
set pipelight to version 5.0:- check
tested with bouncing balls:- working
tested with silverlight DRM test:-working
Here’s what I did different in additon to using Fx 32 unspoofed.
When I saw the loading plugin I clicked on it. I was then asked if I wanted to allow this plugin. I then clicked yes to allow. Works! BTW Thanks for showing me a new newsource!
Another item to consider in Fx is this:
If you have then Menubar in Fx go to Tools>Addons Select Plugins Select the Silver light to Always Activate.
Just in case to get the Menubar rclick the Hamburger & check the Menubar.
