Perfect desktop PC for Opensuse 12.1 and later

Hi all,
i want to know which is the perfect desktop PC for running Opensuse 12.1 or any other later release.
This means that Opensuse must take fully advantage of the hardware pieces some of you might suggest (especially the graphics card).
The purpose of this thread came from my own personal experience as i have installed this great operating system
in a dozen of different PCs and in each one of them it had different issues.
I know that mostly AMD graphics cards have issues, so if someone can please suggest an AMD card that works perfectly with Opensuse.
Also consider that the PC has ethernet cabled connection, but because i had some issues with wireless cards, you can suggest a wireless card too if you want.
The budget of the system can be around 10-1000 Euros. Skip the monitors, keyboard and other input or output devices.
Any suggestion is accepted and thanks in advance for all the help:).

My main machine is a monster IMHO, with every piece of hardware working OOTB, no, really no, hardware issues. I’ve always chosen for ASUS motherboards, based on first experience where they provided support for onboard audio in less than a week after we told them it wasn’t working on linux; on the next SuSE version the support was in the kernel.
RAM: as much as possible, at least 4 GB, more is better.
DISK: spend some money on an SSD to run the system from, a 30 GB one is enough
VIDEO: IMHO NVIDIA is the best choice, I never had issues with their drivers, apart from having to install manually when not running the stock kernel
NETWORK: go for Gb networking, spend a couple of bucks on cat6 cables. If wireless is desired, go for an Atheros based NIC, Atheros never let me down.
CASING: don’t let this just have the rest. A decent, quiet and cool (as in temperature) case is an underestimated factor. Your hardware lasts longer, your life knows less annoyance :D.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Because i never had any NVIDIA graphics card is it guaranteed that all of them can work perfectly on the system you suggested?

Now that you pop the question, I suddenly remember something from years ago: I bought an expensive EVGA NVIDIA based card, nouveau wasn’t there yet, and NVIDIA took 2 months to come up with a driver. But that’s years ago, and I could work on the system. The worst that can happen, is that the precompiled kernel driver does not support a very recent card (haven’t seen it for ages, but still …). Well then still the nouveau driver should work, whioh is becoming very OK, and the manual install of the NVIDIA driver, which is often called “the hard way” but in fact is a piece of cake.

I took a short look into the bills for my system:
Motherboard (ASUS, but not available anymore) € 70
RAM - 16GB DDR3 : € 80 (special offer)
CPU - € 100
VIDEOCARD: € 100

That’s strange. I have read of many people with problems with asus boards
and nil support.

“They” don’t offer Linux support at all. IMO @Knurpht’s experience must have been the exception (maybe some Linux troll in ASUS team).

That was my experience. Three years ago I bought an Asus P2 “compact” barebone system from my local trusted dealer. After three days it would not boot until after several power-downs and restarts. It got worse. I took the board back to the dealer and it was replaced by Asus. The same problem repeated. I got three more new boards, all acted exactly the same. I checked serial numbers to be sure. On the Internet I found others with similar problems. One was an IT manager with some 100+ machines acting the same way. None of us got any help other than replacement bad boards. I sympathized with my dealer and absorbed the cost of a new machine. I will NEVER buy another Asus product.
