I get above error upon boot white on black before Plymouth. It has appeared on last three kernels & only middle (kernel sandwich) & I assume earlier, will boot.

If you add the boot option;

pciehp_force=0

Then after the system is up run;

 modprobe apciphp

Disable plymouth (“plymouth.enable=0”) to see where it hangs exactly, I’d say.
