PCI Express X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro drivers.

As this is my first post, I’d like to say hello to everybody.

For some time I have been “playing” with The openSUSE 11.1 and as a complete newbie in Linux world, I find it very cool system and easy to use. Unfortunately, I have a problem with the sound drivers for the X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro series sound card. I looked around this forums and the Web and did not find an answer I’m looking for. I downloaded driver from Creative site, installed it. For some reason I cannot control any of the card parameters, like in Windows. I cannot control Treble and Bass and other features. Is there other suitable driver for this sound card, or are there any tweaks need to be done with current driver?

Thanks

I believe the driver and indeed support in general for the X-Fi is pathetic in Linux. Efforts are being made to improve the support, but I suspect it could be a year or more before there is reasonable support.

I did see somewhere that the latest support should be included in the 2.6.31

Don`t know how good they will be and if they might or might not be
backported but there light at the end of the tunnel unless it is an oncoming
train
