since 11.3 i got issues disabling the PC speaker. I used to disable it using “xset b off”, what works for the moment. But as soon as a locked my session and unlock it again, it beeps again - great fun in the library!
For some reason, “modprobe -r pcspkr” doens’t do anything at all, too.
