I am a linux noob. Although I have learned quite a bit these past few days since I installed suse.
I haven’t been able to get my palm synced at all. I tried gnome pilot, j-pilot, palm desktop under wine. Nothing is working.
When I hit hot sync from my PDA and type lsusb I get the following.
Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 003 Device 041: ID 0830:0061 Palm, Inc. Lifedrive / Treo 650/680 / Tunsten E2/T5/TX / Zire 21/31/72 / Z22
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 046d:c501 Logitech, Inc. Cordless Mouse Receiver
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 046d:c401 Logitech, Inc. TrackMan Marble Wheel
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
When the PDA is pluged in I get /dev/ttyusb0 and /dev/ttyusb1. When I hit hot sync on the PDA I also get /dev/ttyusb2 and /dev/ttyusb3
I tried setting the port on jpilot to ttyusb0, ttyusb1, ttyusb2, and ttyusb3. None of those worked. Nothing happens on j-pilot and my PDA just hangs. When I cancel the hot sync my pda tells me the connection between my PDA and desktop couldn’t be established.
anyone know how to get this working?
