openSUSE with LXDE as Desktop - doable ?!

hello dear Linux-Friends,

well - i have installed on a Toshiba Satellite l 20 112 - (with 2 G Memory-Ram) a Lubuntu System - with a LXDE - it runs like a charme.

now a friend told me that i can install openSUSE with LXDE as Desktop

is this - doable?

if so - does it run as smooth as Lubuntu does.

is it expected to run as smooth & fast as Lubuntu.

if you say yes - then i will try it out - and give it a try

greetings

I use LXDE on a netbook running openSUSE 12.2. It works really well when KDE was
very sluggish. I have never used Lubuntu, but I would expect the performance to
be about the same. When you install from the NET CD, or the DVD, LXDE is one of
the options under “Other”.

hello - many thanks

great to hear that. i will give it a try
