OpenSuSE vs SLED

How different are OpenSuSE 11.0 and the comparable version of SuSE Linux Enterprise Desktop (SLED)? Will apps that work in OpenSuSE work in SLED? Are the drivers (audio, network, etc) the same?

Much thanks in advance.

Anyway, openSUSE 11.0 begins the process towards the creation
of SLES/SLED 11 which DO NOT exist. If tradition holds, SLES/SLED 11
will probably be similar to openSUSE 11.1 when it comes out.

Right now, there is only SLES/SLED 10. You can be pretty sure
(but NOT guranteed) that most stings from openSUSE 10.1 will
work in SLES/SLED 10. Many things from openSUSE 10.3 even will
work in SLES/SLED 10.

You SHOUD NOT assume that things will work from openSUSE 11
inside of SLES/SLED 10.

The converse sometimes works… that is, SLES/SLED 10 items
might work in openSUSE 10.1+ and possibly even 11.

Drivers ARE NOT necessarily the same. The kernel in 10.3
is RADICALLY different (for example) than the one in
SLES/SLED 10. And the SLES/SLED 10 kernel is certainly
not like the one in openSUSE 11.
