openSuse Leap 42.1 friert regelmäßig bei Videos aller Art und Facebook ein

Hallo liebe Community,

bin neu bei openSUSE und habe ein Problem, was sich bei mir durch alle Linux-Versionen durch zieht.
Bis jetzt habe ich Ubuntu, Debian mit KDE, LinuxMint mit KDE und aktuell openSUSE mit Gnome ausprobiert. Für meinen Geschmack ist openSUSE das richtige System, würde gerne hier bei bleiben, nur macht mir der Umstieg von Windows zu Linux erhebliche Probleme.

Egal welches System ich installiert hatte (außer Windows) mein Problem tritt bei allen auf.

Das System läuft sehr stabil, ich habe keine Probleme, bis ich Online-Videos (HTML5 und Flash) oder Videos von der Festplatte (getestet mit verschiedenen Playern) schaue. Zuletzt auch einfach beim durchscrollen von Facebook. Nach einer kurzen Zeit ruckelt das System stark bis es dann nach ca 5 Sekunden komplett einfriert. Habe schon viel im Internet nach dem Problem gesucht, aber leider nichts gefunden.

Zu Beginn hatte ich auf Ubuntuusers diese Frage gestellt und die Menschen hatten sich an “Hotspots” festgebissen, was aber leider nicht zutrifft. Ich besitze einen Acer Aspire 8940G welcher unter Windows überhitzungsprobleme hatte. Ich weiß wo die Hotspots liegen und unter Linux war das System nicht mal annährend so heiß wie unter Linux. Der “freeze” ist auch schon kurz nach Systemstart aufgetreten, da war das System noch völlig kalt. Habe dann “als Beweis” für die Ubuntuusers-Community mal die Temperatur im Auge behalten und diese lag bei 65 Grad, was bei meinem Laptop wirklich noch kalt ist.
Ein weiterer Ansatz war Flash, aber da das Problem bei allen Videos auftritt, sehe ich das als unrealistisch an (als Leihe natürlich)

Was ich alles Probiert habe:

  • alle verfügbaren GrakaTreiber ausprobiert (über Yast installiert) - ohne Ergebnis
  • die Energieeinstellungen der Graka auf adaptiv und volle Leistung umgestellt - ohne Ergebnis
  • in einem Forum habe ich gelesen, dass dies auch mit PulseAudio und Alsa zusammenhängen könnte. Dort wurde empfohlen nur Alsa zu verwenden. Daraufhin habe ich dann PulseAudio deinstalliert (^^ Ds war ein Fehler, kein AudioGerät wurde mehr angezeigt :smiley: Nach erfolgreicher Neuinstallation von openSuse ^^ hab ich dann in Yast über das Modul Audio dann bei beiden Audiogeräten PulseAudio deaktiviert. - Leider auch ohne Ergebnis.

Zum Schluss möchte ich noch einmal betonen, dass dieses Problem nur unter Linux, nicht unter Windows auftritt.

Wie kann ich weiter vorgehen um das Problem einzugrenzen? Gibt es unter Linux auch eine Fehleranzeige, wo ich den letzten Absturz analysieren kann? Könnt ihr mir irgendwie helfen? Bin langsam echt am Verzweifeln…

EDIT: Ach ja, vielleicht hilft das ja… Ich höre Musik über den Spotify Web PLayer (in Verbindung mit AdBlock gibts da keine Werbung :slight_smile: ) Dieser läuft aber ohne Probleme.

danke für deine Antwort. Benutzt habe ich Firefox und Chromium in Verbindung mit dem Pepper-Flash aus der Packman Repository und Chrome. Nach Neuinstallation nutze ich nur noch Chrome ohne zusätzlich installiertes Flash. Mediaplayer waren der interne und VLC.

Da ich auch weiter teste und auch alte Sachen noch einmal durchspiele, hab ich auch noch mal in den Nvidia xServer Settings die Graka Leistung auf “volle Leistung” gestellt. Anschließend auf einem deutschen Film-Stream-Portal, welche KinoxFilme anbietet, 2 Filme ohne freeze genießen können! Es wäre mir aber doch lieb wenn du dir meine Daten trotzdem anschauen könntest. Falls sich heraus stellt das es wirklich an diesen Einstellungen liegt und ich in der Vergangenheit dies einfach nicht registriert hatte, könntest du mir sagen wie ich die Energieeinstellungen der Nvidia XServer Settings speichern kann und ist dies auch sinnvoll bzw sollte ich dafür einen anderen Weg gehen?
